Always loved Nina Simone. You might want to check out the soundtrack to the Bridget Fonda movie Point of No Return. Filled with Simone songs.

Her music was used in the movie "Point of No Return" with Bridget Fonda. I loved how they highlighted her music and blended it in to the theme of the film.
