Pilar married Wedly in 1948. If she was born in 1936 she was 12 when she married...really?

John Wayne's "widow" has been married twice since his death. She married Stephen Stewart in 1984 and is currently married to Jesse Upchurch. Interesting that she still bills herself as John Wayne's "widow."

Oh yea I almost forgot the funniest thing ever. Pilar had the coolest bird that would screech out her name quite loudly at times. It was a really cool bird.

I had the pleasure of working for a good friend of mine named Matt Courie, (not sure of the spelling.) He was doing a remodle at "La Roca", Pilar and Johns' Home in Newport Beach. Matt hired me to re-wire some electrical in her dining room which was featured in the paper sometime later. It was the greatest time of my life to walk into the Foyer and see all of the Wayne artifacts. Later in life I had the pleasure to do some electrical work on a home John had built in Sequim Washington overlooking the Marina that is named after John Wayne. Pilar gave me a cookbook she had signed the day I worked at La Roca but over time I have misplaced it. John Wayne is not only my alltime favorite actor, but my dad was an even bigger fan. Thanks for listening. I have always wanted to tell people I had the pleasure at one time in my life.

Are you kidding? Let`s see they were married for 25 YEARS, and when he died and she was his true love, OF course she is still his widow. So what if she remarried? Cancer took him from her, she still deserves to be happy!

I want to know why Pilar Wayne insists on calling herself John Wayne`s widow when she remarried after they devorced. She is NOT his widow; she is his ex-wife. Does she have no other life for herself other than being married to him at one time?
