Ryder rose to prominence through TikTok, after posting music covers during the first lockdown, around the COVID-19 pandemic. He represented the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song "Space Man", finishing in second place and scored the UK its best Eurovision result since 1998.
