I vehemently disagree with anyone that thinks Mr. Ameche was miscast in the role of Henry Van Cleve in Lubitsch`s Heaven Can Wait (1943). He possessed the right amount of suavity and he delivered that sentimental dialogue the way it`s suppose to be delivered: with conviction - though never elminating the tenderness - sophistication, and passion. He was a great actor--one of my all-time favorites.
