Ex-Husband Harry James died on what would have been there 40th wedding anniversary. In 1946-47 the Treasury Department noted that she was the highest paid woman in America, recieving 30,000 a year. Was lifelong friends with Alice Faye, Betty Furness and Lucille Ball all the way up till her death. Was one of the orginal Goldwyn Girls right along with Lucille Ball,Virginia Bruce, Ann Dvorak, and Paulette Goddard.
